Stretch IS43 - Automatic hooding machine
With stretching tubular film
The new OMS Stretch IS43 model is an automatic hooding machine that, by means of patented systems, hoods palletized products using stretching tubular film.
The machine can be endowed with up to three elastic film reels of tubular form with side couplings allowing the automatic packaging of packs with various different sizes.
Economy: The packing of palletized products with stretch film hooding technology does not require the use of energy for the heating of the film.
Main value: The stretch hood ensures stability to the product; the film is hanging to the top fillets of the pallet, generating a strong clamping between the pallet and the load. Furthermore, stretch film offers a good protection against atmospheric agents and it can protect the load from theft
Smart operational cycles, high performance
There are two main operating phases, the hood preparation and the hooding of the load. The Stretch IS43 machine is able to overlap these two phases reducing the cycle time.
In fact, the film unwinding, sealing and cutting operations occurs in the same time whilst the hood is placed on the product.
Once the hood is formed, it is winded up on the forming arch; than the arch opens up wide stretching the film to suit the product size. This operation is obtained during the transfer from one finished pack and the following not effecting the total cycle time.
Ergonomic features: All the control points and/or intervention points have been placed in a way that ensures easy access without using neither ladders nor platforms.
The reel holder allows to load the film from floor level; thanks to the fact that the film guiding device is mounted on guides that can be pull out as a drawer, the operation of film threading is made even easier. A safe, easy and fast reel loading operation it's ensured.
Safety features: any machine movement either manual and/or automatic it is controlled by safety feature. There is also a pattern control of the parcel during the hooding operation to prevent the risk of collision between the forming arch and the parcel itself. and if it is necessary the ring is stopped.

Stretch IS43 is available also in version with two or three reels in line, each with different or same size of film. In this case the film guides group is fixed on a moving shuttle that automatically positions in line the reel more suitable to the product that has to be hooded with a consequent film saving. This allows to pack different product with different sizes also fed in a casual sequence, or in case of packs with one size only, to have a longer range.
