Co-Packaging: integrated packaging system

What OMS COPACKAGING means

Aim
The aim of OMS has always been client satisfaction; carried on for more than 50 years, offering the best that experience can plan; and now, also setting itself up as a process partner and no longer merely as supplier.

The strategy
In order to better approach a global market in a state of rapid change, OMS has reorganised its structure in such a way as to offer solutions to its clients for integrated packing systems. Thus the design of new plant passes through consideration of the following two phases of product life:
  • production process, product features;
  • logistic network, distribution flow.
From knowledge of these facts and with the simulation of actual transport conditions the optimal type of product packing system is defined together with the client.

Strongpoint
The optimal type of product packing system can only be offered by those who have several packing systems available. OMS has been building end of line palletised product packing machines for years, with three different systems: an OMS strongpoint which can always offer the most suitable solution for packing:
  • "Plasto" line, fixing with polyester and polypropylene
  • "Termo" line, thermoshrunk film;
  • "Periplo" line, extensible film.

The organisation

Faced with special problems, the research and development sector, aided by a pool of experts collaborating with the Technical Department, designs the best techniques in relation to the client's packing and shipping problems. And always observing the laws regarding safety and the environment.

Conclusion

So Co-Packaging is the union of knowledge of special product features and the marketing ends supplied by the client with OMS' packing knowhow and technology.
What emerges from this collaboration is:
  • Better quality packing system;
  • reduction in stock of packing components;
  • reduction of packing costs;
  • reduction of labour;
  • better product image;
  • greater respect for the environment.
